We believe that re-loving/re-homing vintage/antique furniture and home decor is essential for many reasons:
1. For our Environment
Think of all the history, craftsmanship and waste being saved from landfills, buried in the Earth. Instead giving vintage items a new life, cherishing and re-using these quality items for years to come. Maybe even leaving them as your family heirlooms later on down the road. (You can’t do that with Pottery Barn or IKEA because newly made furniture isn’t built to last a decade, let alone a lifetime or well beyond).
2. For Ourselves
We nourish our souls through nourishing ourselves.
Creating personal spaces that help us to feel supported, nurtured, creative and well cared for, builds us up. It allows us to feel better resourced for our families, neighbors and jobs. Desiring a unique, personal space for respite and expression isn’t selfish or superficial, and it isn’t just about comfort. It’s about caring for you, honoring your unique values, styles, joys, needs and creating a warm, inviting, restorative space that you want to be in and/or share with others.
3. For our Community
When we shop locally, purchase previously loved items and seek out more sustainable design options and decor, we also help our fellow small businesses and communities thrive through reinforcing our value and keeping our dollars here at home.
